Attorney Benjamin Roberson applies broad experience in national and international law to every case he takes. Before opening Community Law Office, Ben defended cities and corporations in civil rights matters, which gives him a unique understanding of how opposing lawyers handle their cases. He uses this experience to fiercely advocate for his clients and get results.

In addition to his litigation experience in Iowa, Ben has worked with refugee communities in Seattle, survivors of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, ethnic minority groups in China, villages in Honduras, and civil rights groups in Israel and Palestine. He is active in Iowa nonprofits advocating for the rights and advancement of people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and the development of the arts.

Haley is from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. She obtained a B.A. in Criminal Justice & Political Science from the University of South Dakota. During her undergrad, Haley worked for the South Dakota Legislature.

Haley graduated with High Honors from Drake University Law School with a certificate in Constitutional Law & Civil Rights. During her time at Drake Law, Haley was a study group fellow and was awarded the K.M. Waggoner Peer Mentoring Award. She was also secretary of Drake Law Women & Vice President of the National Lawyers Guild.

Legal Operations Specialist Emily McClintic ensures efficiency in all of Community Law Office's cases. She tracks case progress, manages file documents and deadlines, and is in charge of refining Community Law Office's case processing.

Emily has experience at every level of a law firm, including client intake and management, attorney legal assistant, paralegal, and file management. Emily is the brain behind all of Community Law Office's phenomenal work.

Jessica provides help & support to our clients and attorneys by performing a large range of clerical duties, including: researching case information, scheduling meetings, and filing legal documents.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, Jessica is polite & professional. She possesses in-depth knowledge of legal procedures & terminology.
